AMD has officially released their new roadmap introducing a new range of multi-core and multi-socket. AMD chairman and CEO said that the idea is to create a 'more open and innovation-friendly x86-based platform to those who want to collaborate in the development of differentiated, customer-centric solutions'.
AMD also have plans for Quad-Core and 65nm Dual-Core. Read about it Here

and what is wrong with xfire?,another way of getting in touch tbh and i find it very handy sometimes to be able to chat to my freinds/clan in game on xfire as well as teamspeak.

steam friends for chatting ingame, and xfire is horrible software, theres no denying it.

but since people insist on using this protocol, this plugin is a lifesaver

It's unwieldy, ugly, crashes stuff, has a horrible UI (yes I know you can skin it) and generally offends me

it really does suck, i hated it for the months i used it while steam friends wasnt functioning and for the second had of that it caused no end of lag problems ingame

Hmm, I don't mind it really. It used to cause my games to lag every now and then but hasn't done so in a while. The only problems I've had is that sometimes my games crash to desktop or freeze, but I'm thinking that's more of a hardware problem rather than xfire
