Socket 1156 Mini-ITX Goodness

Intel H57 Mini ITX MotherboardIntel have shown off their first H57 chipset motherboard, which supports socket 1156 processors. This motherboard utilizes a two chip solution, rather than a three chip solution of older motherboards. This allows for smaller motherboards whilst retaining performance, unlike previous generations, where smaller motherboards meant a loss of performance.
 
The board will support current 45nm Lynnfield based Core i5 and Core i7 processors and upcoming 32nm, Clarkdale Core i3 processor, which feature an intergrated 45nm GPU. The intergrated GPU of the Clarkdale processors supposedly offers much improved performance compared to the G45 chipset's intergrated graphics.
 
Also on the board is a single PCI express x16 slot, 4 SATA ports, 2 DDR3 memory slots and a flash module slot. Moving around to the rear IO section, we have six USB ports, eSATA, Ethernet, 7.1 audio and DVI and HDMI outputs for the perfect home theatre solution straight out of the box.
