Intel have a huge problem with 45nm production
You may have noticed earlier this year that Intel's 45nm processors were in short supply, there has yet to be a good reason for this shortage. But basically Intel couldn't keep up with the demand for their processors. What was most effected was the main-stream 45nm Quads and a few Dual-Cores.
But now if you look around the chips are becoming more available and hopefully will stay that way. From the looks of things Intel won't recover that well though, it is said that the shortage will carry on effecting a good part of Q2.
