The new 'Tulsa' dual-core chip, designed for four-processor systems and officially called the Xeon 7100 series, has a price ranging from US$856 for a 7110 model with 4MB of high-speed cache memory and a 2.6GHz clock speed to US$1,980 for a 7140 model with 16MB of cache and 3.4GHz speed. Intel is claiming that its new Xeon processor has up to 70% more performance than its older sibling, the 'Paxville'.
Intel are now reportedly trying to make the comparison between Tulsa and American Micro Devices (AMD) Opteron range of server chips. "Tulsa based systems are 17 percent faster than Opteron machines on business database tasks and 42 percent faster on Java server tasks", Intel said.

Good glad to have helped PV. :) It's good that logitech provides users with no BS support in most cases with a few exceptions lol.

WTF BS.
...and that is supposed to mean what? I spoke to Logitech yesterday on the phone (took 3 mins max to talk to a live operator), he gave me the ref no. and acknowledged that it was a known problem with the first version. He has sent the e-tailer a directive to replace the keyboard, including the knowledge base article highlighting the defect. At this point, after consultation with both Logitech and the e-tailer, there hasn't been any request for the return of the keyboard. I submitted my warranty email to the e-tailer yesterday, they promptly returned an acknowledgement email stating that a new G15 was on the way, and should be in my hands either today or tomorrow. So as far as the BS reference, I can assure you young Sir that it is definitely not ;)WTF BS

ive just purchased this keyboard how bad is the paint stripping finger trouble i dont use wasd that much because im not a great big fps fan was just wondering if theres any other keyboards u recommend i have been lookin at the zboard but it seems a bit OTT
If you have the newest version of this keyboard (which you probablly do) then you shouldn't have the paint peeling problem at all. You can tell if yours is the new or old from I think there is a link earlier in this thread :)

Same ole story tho, I noticed these boards in the UK selling for £99 - so being a cunning fellow, I figured I`d buy one whilst in the US and bring it home with me - of course it`s price is/was $99 - same with most things, the UK never convert the value, just change the sign.
Anywho, I didn`t figure on the box being as big as it was - so it didn`t fit in either of my cases >.< So... I bought a hard drive for ~$60 (UK equiv was £60), in anycase, I get back to UK and find the prices have changed suddenly.. they`re now £46!!! Got one from Scan that arrived the next day.
Gave me the impression @ the time that prehaps Logitech were coming out with something newer. Not like them to slash a price just like that.
I think the keys on my one are clear if you stick your head directly over the board, at an angle they`re a bit sketchy. Nice keyboard tho.
