Gigabyte Announces AM3 Motherboard Added Support for DDR3Gigabyte has announced three models of AM3 motherboards supporting DDR3: GA-MA790FXT-UD5P, GA-MA790XT-UD4P and GA-MA770T-UD3P. As AMD doesn’t have plan yet to offer new chipset for motherboard which is compatible with AM3 processor, the above Gigabyte motherboards are all based on AMD 7 Series chipset. The image of GA-MA790FXT-UD5P featuring AMD 790FX+SB750 has already been unveiled.
Designed for ultra durable life expectancy, Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P supports AMD Over Driver overclocking. Besides, it supports Phenom II processor with maximum TDP of 140W, and features 4 memory slots which means 16GB DDR3 can be connected. Featuring 3 PCIe X1 and 2 PCI slots, it also supports Crossfire with 2 PCIe X16 slots.
Equipped with 10 SATA connectors, 6 of which offered by SB750 chip to support SATA RAID 0/1/0+1/5/JBOD, and the remaining 4 offered by Gigabyte SATA2 chip to support SATA RAID 0/1/JBOD. The availabity and pricing of this lineup are unknown yet. According to AMD’s plan, the first AM3 processor will emerge this February.

Hmm still CAD renders. I wonder if any prototypes have been produced yet then? O.o
Anyway, would be nice to see some early 295 WC results :D With an offical block, not a 295 torn apart to fit a pair of CPU coolers on it :p
