Conroe based Celerons On The Way?

It appears that ES processors are making an appearance around the net which are of an "Celeron" branding derived from the Conroe-L core.

It's a single-core chip with 1MB of L2 cache, is based on a 65nm fab and runs a bus speed equal to that of the Pentium E2000 series, 200MHz (800Mhz Quad-pumped).

According to the source, it's likely this upcoming family of chips will be dubbed the “Celeron E1XXX” series.

Celeron -L

I wonder if this will be a cheap overclocking gem of a processor?

Mike's a good lad although he's 16

He has a good head on him and deals with stuff sensibly

Last time it was close between him and Llwyd...

I would vote Mike if he stuck around more, vadeR is asking for the modship which is something he shouldn't be doing. I'm uncertain atm.

Hmm tis a tie

Llwyd still to vote

Mike gonna be around now and won't be leaving any time I don't think, he has been with us pretty regularly for quite some time

why dont we give mike a chance to stick around during the next few weeks. see if he really is gonna be around or not.

but dont tell him "if us tick around we'll mod you", jus see if he really wants to be here for oc3d

I agree with Dave here totally. I just had Mike on msn and it appears that he thinks he already has the position. Weird

I just asked him if he would have time to be a mod if he was asked, same as I asked Vader a few questions

Oh ok np's. Here is an excerpt of the convo:

OC3D | PV5150 - Rocking hard on AquAus says:
I am mate
OC3D | MikeEnIke says:
1. Frag Left =[
OC3D | MikeEnIke says:
2. I'm his replacement =]

I can imagine his excitement too though. Mike will be my first choice if push comes to shove, as he is a very thoughtful young fellow and quite knowledgeable for his age and would better suit the position.

28-06-2007, 10:20:09

Ah well I think it's just excitement at being asked

But I agree he's a nice lad, likes OC3D and is a stable person

I agree with Dave - 2 weeks, though it will mean we have no-one on the USA shift

That sound good?

28-06-2007, 10:31:49

Yep. For what it's worth I'm still on hols for a week and a half and at home for most days so I'm usually about. I can cover the later part of the US timezone, ie when Frag was on in the mid morning to early afternoon my time.

28-06-2007, 15:07:27

to be honest frag was on increasingly less lately anyway, so i dont think we are at a major loss in the forseeable future.

i shd be up later anyway though, at least for the rest of this week.
