Bonetrail: Bad Axe 2’s Successor

Intel logo

According to an online source, Intel has announced the successor to its Bad Axe 2 motherboard. Codenamed Bonetrail, it combines the power of the X38 chipset with the ICH9DH south bridge, and can be expected in the third quarter of 2007.

At the bottom, you have Coconut Creek, a µATX 945GC with ICH7 and Cash Canyon, the same as Coconut but with a 945GZ replacing the GC. These will be out in early 2007. (Inquirer, 2006)
