ATI Dismisses Intel License Rumour
"ATI Dismisses Intel License Rumour"
Published: 30th July 2006 | Source: N/A |
News relating to the merger between AMD and ATI was all over the net on Monday, but it would appear some incorrect facts were spread aswell.
It seems some journalists were informed that ATI's chipset-licence had been terminated by Intel.
However, the individuals who first received this news have failed to verify
this with ATI (for unknown reasons) and instead have proceded to publish an editorial claiming the license had been terminated.
ATI's Senior Vice President and General Manager, Chipset and Notebook Business Unit; Phil Eisler, confirmed that the claims are completely false. Stating that "There is no truth to the rumor that Intel has pulled ATI's chipset licence. We continue to ship Intel chipsets under licence"

Mmmmmm, today was a nice, comfortable low-humidity day with a high temp of 24*C :D.

Today, outside here in California (east bay inland) outside reached a blistering 109.5*F (43*C). Thank god for air conditioning, keeping our house at a tolerable (and not all together uncomfortable) 84*F (29*C).
