AMD to shorten product line

"AMD to shorten product line"

AMD has announced that over the next few months they will be 'simplifying' their product line. Products including the Athlon 64 X2 4800+, X2 4400+ and X2 4000+ will all be pulled off the shelves. AMD will be leaving the FX chips as they are hopefully increasing the sales.
This move should help to cut down on the differences in specifications within product lines and overall overlapping of products.
