AMD Phenom IIAMD Phenom II X4 965 BE approaching!

AMD are getting ready to launch the latest in the Phenom II lineup. The 965 BE quad core is 200MHz faster than the previous fastest CPU - the 955 BE. Due to officially launch on the 13th of August, the 3.4GHz quad core features an unlocked multiplier like other black edition chips and utilizes the AM3 socket like the other processors in the Phenom II range.

According to several sources the CPU was spotted on UK retailer Technologic's site for a price of £178.97. Although price productions put it at around $250-270 £150-170. This is similar to the pricing of the Phenom II 955 upon it's release, and as the 965 will take the place at the top of AMD's performance table it makes sense.

The CPU is expected to launch in the UK shortly after the 13th of August, so keep your eyes peeled!
