Have you tried undervolting it? :)

I know a lot of people undervolt laptop CPUs in order to get them to run cooler. Sounds wierd that it's not keeping the settings :(

Do you have speedstep/eist disabled?

How do c2ds react to underclocking ?

Only ever purposely underclocked an amd b4 now.

I know some cpus, if u go below the level they operate, the bios will bring it either upto the minimum or revert to stock timing - this iirc involves a reboot after the first fail.

Just tune down the voltage until it's no longer prime stable, that ought to get it chilly

it wont be fine, its running at 50c now, which i think is a tad hot. Dont forget that its in a midget case.

I'l try all the other suggestions tomorrow, but i dont think theres anywhere to change the voltages. But i'll check.

I'd make sure EIST/Speedstepping is disabled so you can change the VCore then just put the VCore down.

Or enable speedstepping I guess.
