think your right about the 1000hz when i go over 2.9 gig the mem must go over 1000 and thats when i hit problems maybe running x8 will get past that

First of all i'm french so sorry for the bad english.
I have a striker extreme + Q6600 G0 + 4G ram
i tried the bios config MULLET gave and for some reason Windows XP wont start.
The comuter boots but when windows should load and start the screen stays black!!!
Any idea why??? plz :(

4 Ghz would be pushing it tbh....on the Q6600 G0 on that board. Here's the settings I use for my 3.6Ghz OC, am using the same board with dual 8800GTXs, the chip and the GTXs are all watercooled in a single loop, not sure if this will be of help:
