Austria-based cooling solutions manufacturer Noctua today released its new NM-A90 Upgrade Kit for the NH-U12P SE2 and NH-U9B SE2 users. Designed particularly for AMD motherboards, the free upgrade kit allows the SE2 heatsink to be installed at a 90o angle on the motherboards.

Noctua’s NH-U12P SE2 and NH-U9B SE2 coolers have received rave reviews and racked up more than 200 awards since their launch last year. Featuring the highly acclaimed SecuFirm2 mounting system, the coolers are simple to install and ultra convenient even for novices.

Now Noctua has come forth with its new NM-A90 Upgrade-Kit, which offers extra flexibility for the SecuFirm2 mounting system in the form of a new installation alignment. It also makes the NH-U12P SE2 and NH-U9B SE2 fully compatible with AM2, AM2+ and AM3 motherboards.

“We’ve received excellent customer feedback on our new SE2 coolers,” Mag. Roland Mossig, CEO of Noctua said. “But some AMD users expressed the wish to have the possibility to change the alignment of the coolers on AMD motherboards. We’ve always been convinced that premium quality products and premium quality service should go hand in hand, so we’re responding to this demand by offering the new NM-A90 kit as a free upgrade.”

The NM-A90 kit can be ordered free of charge from Noctua’s website. Of course, owners of Noctua’s SE2 coolers will have to provide proof of purchase for both a Noctua cooler and a socket AM2, AM2+ or AM3 mainboard or CPU. The proof can be a photo, a scanned copy, or a screenshot of the invoice.
