Cooling solutions manufacturer Danger Den today released their first cooling block for the Nvidia GeForce GTX 580. Called simply the DD-GTX580 block, the liquid based cooling solution is a single slot system that fully covers the card and keeps all the major heat components of the of the card.
Danger Den has designed this new cooler in close coordination with Nvidia to tailor-fit it for the world’s fastest GPU. It comes with a monolithic copper base and a black chrome top. The DD-GTX580 has been released in two styles - one comes with a mirrored base finish while the other one is satin copper.
The DD-GTX580 continues the tradition of other Danger Den cooling solutions and provides superior cooling performance. It keeps the GPU nearly 30 to 50 degrees centigrade cooler than the reference card, which is a significant improvement, particularly for extreme gaming. The single loop block also means there is a high flow rate of coolant - ideal for drawing maximum performance from all components.
The design of the DD-GTX580 block has been created such that it covers and cools all the critical components of the card, including the GPU, memory chips, and the VRM on the underside of the PCB.
Danger Den has priced the mirror finish block at $146.95 while the satin copper base one costs $134.95. Both blocks have already started shipping to retailers.

Odd a friend of mine has ran a SMP server since about a month after its release on a machine with a fairly basic dualy and 3gb ram (just a small one so the kids could play with there friends ect) and when empty its never been above 4-500mb from what ive seen. Could be worth trying it again if its something your interested in running.
If people want to buy one off me ill host it but i put my old clients in front of them so if it eats ram.. It's a no.
Any way you play the game for about 100 hours then you get board of it...
Getting a PII x6 with 8 gig in the new year, file server/media machine + classic and alpha running in the background

100 hours, thats more than what I get out of most retail 39.99 games for the xbox and ps3.
I've still not got bored of it, one of my top games of all time

It's addictive I will give you that, But after time it wares off... I dos't have that much in the game to keep you clinging... No treat for pushing buttons.
Minecraft server could be cool. Most servers I go onto are VERY laggy because people have opened up so much map.
The only thing annoying about minecraft servers and lag really is if more of the map is open, but also forest fires, some one came onto my server and started a fired that stretched as far as we could see in all directions, so we had to start a new world because the backup of the world went missing
its only a 10 slot server, but i welcome anyone from OC3D on there, once ive got an up to date version of the admin mod i use (24th december)

Ill try it again when i get back to the office, It was the preAlpha virsion so i don't know if it has been updated since i last tried it.
