Asustek returns to sound card market
ASUS is reportedly deep into production of their Xonar D2 sound card and shipments are expected somewhere around Q3 2007.
| The company indicated that the card adopts the Asustek-developed AV200 chip, manufactured by United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) at the 0.35 micron process. Production already started in May, and shipments will start in the third quarter with a market price of about US$199. |
With ASUS entering the sound card market with the Xonar D2, it will be interesting to see how the two major players: Creative and Auzentech react. It will be an interesting few months ahead with Auzentech' X-Fi equipped Prelude card due in the next few weeks, and the Xonar D2 due later this year. Will they be able to de-throne Creative as the sound card market leader where many have tried before unsuccessfully?

That's the chair I have in work. It's well squeaky though and we gota spray the joint underneath with WD40. Other than that it's a pretty comfy seat.
Oh and your glass table is pimpin' mate!
(Do you think I pulled that off )
EDIT: Shouldn't this be in 'show it off'??
